Experience
As I am a recent graduate myself, I have a unique opportunity to relate to students while also providing experience through over four years of college level teaching. I bring a passion and a diverse background of skills to each tutoring session. My goal is to not only teach the material presented, but explain the deeper meaning and reason for its importance. I have been tutoring mathematics since 2008 and I taught from 2011 - 2015. I enjoy the thrill of watching others begin to understand a subject and the "ah-ha!" moments which come from learning a new area. Previously, I have done multiple internships including an REU at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Tech, a graduate bridge program at Texas A&M University, and a summer school at the University of Wyoming.
